FUNERAL OF PRIEST IS SET FOR WEDNESDAY

PORTSMOUTH - Funeral services for the Rev. Father Michael J.
Hartigan, assistant pastor of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, who died Sunday 
afternoon in a Portsmouth Hospital, will be conducted in the church, 10:30 A.M.
Wednesday. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Cemetery. 

He was a native of Ireland and had been in this country for the past 26 years. 
He came to Portsmouth from St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Berklev, about a year 
ago.

His first assignment was St. Joseph's Church in Petersburg, where he served as 
assistant pastor, and from there he went to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Norfolk.
