He was a native of Accomac County and a resident of Norfolk for the past 26 years. Besides his wife, Mrs. Ola Garrison Hartman, he is survived by one daughter, Ola Ruth Hartman; five sons, Lester G., Allie C., J.T., Vernon L. and William J. Hartman, all of Norfolk; his father, James J. of Melfa; one sister, Mrs. John E. Watson, Jr., of Melfa and three brothers, Luther Hartman of Melfa, Dial W. Hartman of Onle and O.D. Hartman of Norfolk. Mr. Hartman was manager of one of the D. Pender Grocery Stores and was a member of the Modern Woodmen of the World and K. of P. Funeral services will be held at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. W. Rush Loving, pastor of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church, officiating.
