Mrs. Hartman was a resident of Norfolk. She was a member of Chesterfield Heights Methodist Church and Ocean View Ladies Auxiliary to Post 3160 of Veterans of Foreign Wars. She retired from Tony’s Shoe Store after 31 years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ola Ruth Upton, Norfolk; five sons, Lester G. Hartman of Morrisville, Pa., Allie C. Harman, Vernon Hartman and William J. Hartman of Norfolk, and John T. Hartman of Guam; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Sunday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. William Parks of Chesterfield Heights Methodist Church and Rev. P. Rowland Wagner, pastor emeritus of Central Baptist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
