Virginian Pilot Monday, Oct. 11,1937
John J. Hartman, 74, died at 6:15 a.m. yesterday at his residence, 785 West
Fifty-first street.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Brown Hartman;  a
son, Joseph Leroy Hartman, of Brooklyn, and a stepson, Fred G. Brown, of Norfolk.

Mr. Hartman is also survived by three step-grandchildren, all of Norfolk.

Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 4 o’clock at the Gregory
Funeral Home, Thirty-fourth and Granby streets.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn
Cemetery
