The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Monday April 4, 1938

Mrs. Elisabeth Louis Hartman, aged 66, widow of Frank H. Hartman and daughter 
of Charles J. and Mrs. Annie Louis, a native of Gloucester County, and a 
resident of Princess Anne County for the past 44 years, died Friday night at 
8:40 o’clock at the residence of her son, Louis Hartman at Burlington, N.C. 
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Dora F. Fleming, of Princess Anne County, four 
sons, Louis Hartman, of Burlington; Frank F. Hartman, of Princess Anne County; 
Roman I. Hartman, Of New York City, and Henry H. Hartman, of Williamsburg, and 
five grandchildren, Miss Doris Hartman, Miss Mignon Hartman, Miss Diademma 
Fleming, William T. Fleming, and John Frank Hartman.
Services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 
Colonial Avenue at 3:30 o’clock with the Rev. George P. Gunn, rector of the 
Church of the Good Shepherd officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
