The Virginian Pilot Friday, January 10, 1958


Norfolk-Mrs. Birdie Smith Harvey, 83, widow of John T. Harvey and daughter 
of William A. and Mrs. Emma Whitehurst Smith, died at a Norfolk hospital 
yesterday at 1:25 a.m.
She is survived by a niece, Dr. Anne Smith Goldston of Norfolk, and three 
nephews, A. Lee Smith, of Norfolk, William Wallace Smith, of Richmond and 
Capt. Albert C. Smith Jr., U.S.M.C., stationed at Quantico.
Mrs. Harvey was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 9430 Atlans Ave.
The body will be taken from the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Elmwood 
Cemetery for funeral services at the grave Saturday at 11 a.m. The family 
will assemble at 1234 Manchester Ave.
