Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - March 31, 2015
 Norfolk - Bessie Lee Harvey , 94, was called home on March 24th 2015. Born 
in Sandhill, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Eugene 
Knockett and Mary Lee Dixon Knockett. Left to cherish her precious and fond 
memories are her six daughters, Rita Hanson, Donna Martin, Sylvia Mandley 
(Larry), Marla Harvey, Roncalli Harvey Campbell, and Monica Harvey; five 
sons, Allen Knockett (Ann), Samuel Knockett, Fabian Harvey, Juano Harvey, 
and Dayron Harvey; and three sisters, Nina Knockett, Maime Mabine, and 
Ethylene Skinner. She was preceded in death by two sons, Reginald Thompson 
and Carl Harvey; two sisters, Barbara Johnson and Doris Spratley; and two 
brothers, James Knockett and John Knockett. Also left to cherish her 
memories are a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, 
cousins, and many friends. A home going service will be held, 2pm, 
Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby Street 
Chapel. Family receiving friends, 6pm-8pm, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the 
funeral home
