Norfolk - James A. Harvey of 1307 Carey street, the husband of Mrs. Lillian 
Harvey, died in a hospital after a short illness.  A native of Gilmerton, he was 
a son of the late John and Mrs. Leona Harvey.

He worked at the Norfolk Naval Air Rework Facility 30 years, and was a member of 
Shiloh Baptist Church.

Besides his widow, surviving are four sons, James Lee Harvey, Bernard Harvey, 
Ernest Harvey, and John Harvey of Norfolk;  three daughters, Beverly Harvey of 
Norfolk, and Elizabeth Harvey and Mrs. Mary Alexander of Chesapeake;  a brother, 
John Harvey of Chesapeake;  two sisters, Mrs. Louise Goodman and Mrs. Laura 
Booke, of Norfolk;  and two grandchildren.
Services were held in Shiloh Baptist Church by the Rev. J. H. Foster.  Burial 
was in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge.
