Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, October 16, 1999 
Ruth Delores Harvey of the 500 block of Fenchurch St., died Oct. 13, 1999, in
Arlington, Va.

A native of Norfolk, she was born Feb. 26, 1937, to the late James V. Brown and
Evelyn M. Brown. She attended Norfolk city schools and was married to the late
Willie George Barry Harvey. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute
Street, and was a former member of Usher Board No. 1, Emeralds Social & Civic
Club and Good Times Social Club. She was employed as a domestic worker and
retired as a civil servant from the Norfolk Naval Base.

Survivors include three daughters, Joy Harvey of Norfolk, Crystal H. Corprew and
her husband, James, of Virginia Beach and Juanita Harvey of Lorton, Va.; a son,
Anthony W. Harvey of Norfolk; a sister, Shirley E. Lucas of Norfolk; two
brothers, James A. Brown and Daniel L. Brown; four grandchildren; and a host of
other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at noon Monday at First Baptist Church, Bute
Street, by the Rev. Dr. Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is in charge.
