The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Saturday May 1, 1948
John Thomas Harvey, 74, husband of Birdie Smith Harvey, died at his residence, 
400 Atlans Avenue, yesterday at 9:15 a.m. Besides his wife, he is survived by a 
sister, Mrs. W.J. Walton, and four brothers, Jessie J., William C., Lytton and 
Lester B. Harvey, all of Appomattox.
Mr. Harvey was a native of Appomattox and had been a resident of Norfolk for 40 
years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
