Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, November 21, 1999 
William H. Harvey Jr., 76, of the 500 block of Virginia Ave., died Nov. 18,
1999, in a local hospital.

He was born in Swan Quarter, N.C., and retired as a truck driver from Thompson
Brothers. He was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church in Norfolk, where he
served on the No. 1 Usher Board and was a member of the Brotherhood Fellowship
Group. He also was a member of the Teamsters Local 822 and Excelsior Lodge No.
87 F&AM. He was a past master of his lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Clark Harvey of Norfolk; two sisters, Alma
Dailey and Matlyn Brown; and a brother, James F. Harvey of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at New Calvary Baptist Church by
the Rev. G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Hale Funeral Home
is in charge of arrangements.
