B. Harwell, died at the home of his parents, 200 Clay avenue, Brambleton, at 9:45 o'clock Sunday morning, after a lingering illness, in the 25th year of his age. The deceased had been under treatment at the St. Christopher Hospital, this city, for five months, and every possible attention that skilled treatment of physicians and loving care of his family and friends could afford was given to restore him to health. Four years ago, young Harwell graduated at the Bond Institute, New York, as a window decorator and in his vocation, he displayed an exquisite taste. Before being sent to St. Christopher's Hospital for treatment, he was in the employ of Messrs. Steiner & Kaufman, Hampton, Va., where he continued to assiduously discharge the duties of his vocation with entire satisfaction to his employers until the breaking down of his health. The funeral was solemnized from the McKendree Methodist church at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon and was attended by a large concourse of the friends of the deceased. The service was conducted by the pastor, Rev. Geo. W. Wray, and the remains were laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Lansing C. Terwilliger, G. H. Worrell, J. H. Butcher, Guy Ashley, C. Ashburn and Sam Dunston.
