Isabell was affectionately known as "Grandma Izzy" to her family and friends. She was the youngest of 14 children born to the late Pearl and Dory E. Timberlake Sr. Isabell graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She furthered her education and worked as a nurse for over 50 years. Isabell was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend. She never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone who was in need. She thought the world of her family and took great pride in being the matriarch of the family. Isabell was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Haskins Sr.; a daughter, Zenobia Rodgers; and most recently a son, Raymond B. Haskins Sr. and grandson, Frederick D. Haskins. Isabell leaves to cherish her precious memories two sons, Lawrence Haskins Sr. and Drewen "Fat-Rat" Haskins; two daughters-in-law, Beatrice Haskins Vaughan and Juanita Haskins; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great- great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Sarah Timberlake and Lendora Allen; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Isabell is also survived by a devoted family friend, Frances Pope and an extra special granddaughter, Pamela M. Haskins, who was grandmother's only nurse throughout her illness. She will be sorely missed. A funeral will be held at noon Monday in Riddick Funeral Services, 1225 Norview Ave., Norfolk. Pastor Duane S. McNair Sr. will be officiating.
