Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 4,1957
Funeral services for Mrs. Erma Hassell, 34, of 857 Goff street who died 
April 26 at a local hospital, were held May 1, with Elder S. A. Wilson, 
pastor of New Calvary Baptist Church officiating.

A native of Norfolk, Mrs. Hassell was the daughter of Mrs. Susie H. Bullock 
and is survived by her husband, George Hassell;  one brother, Clarence 
Bullock;  and a sister, Miss Roman Bullock.  All reside in Norfolk.

Burial was in the family plot at Calvary Cemetery with Hale Funeral Home in 
charge.
