Lucy Marsteller Hatchett, 2-and-a-half year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. 
Hatchett, of Virginia Beach, died yesterday afternoon at 1:05 o’clock at the 
family residence on Twentieth street. The child was a grandaughter of Dr. A. A. 
Marsteller, Norfolk dentist, and Mrs. Marsteller, Virginia Beach postmaster. In 
addition, the child is survived by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. 
Hatchett, of Yanceyville, N.C.; one sister, Martha Russell Hatchett, and one 
brother, William Russell Hatchell, Jr.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Home, Norfolk, with the Rev. A. A. Grinnan, pastor of the Star of the Sea 
Chapel, officiating.
