A native of Baileysville, W. Va., he had lived here 55 years. For 50 years he was a streetcar operator. He was a member of Chesapeake Avenue Methodist Church. The son of Anderson and Mrs. Octavia Lusk Hatfield, he is survived, in addition to his wife, by two daughters, Mrs. Harry M. Lawing and Mrs. E.L. Emery, of Portsmouth; a son, Warren Hatfield, of Ocean View; a sister, Mrs. Essie Luther, of Davy, W.Va.; a brother, Clinton Hatfield, of Charleston, W.Va., and five grandchildren. The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk, pending funeral arrangements.
