Benjamin Hatfield, 40, of 407 West Olney Road, died today of undetermined causes. Her husband, a foreman on a North Carolina dredging project, said he returned in Norfolk Sunday and found his wife ill. He said she became worse this morning and fell into a coma. The husband said he called police when he found it impossible to get a doctor. Mrs. Hatfield was taken to Norfolk General Hospital from her home, but was pronounced dead on arrival. The body was removed to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Home. ***************************************************************************** Mrs. Ruby Lawson Hatfield, 39, wife of E.B. Hatfield, died Tuesday morning at a local hospital. Mrs. Hatfield was a native of Greenville, S.C. and a resident of Norfolk for the past 15 years, residing at 409 West Olney Road at the time of her death. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Besides her husband, Mrs. Hatfield is survived by her mother, Mrs. E.H. Lawson, of Shelby, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. A.O. Pendleton, of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; three brothers, Fred P. Lawson, of Shelby, N.C.; Charles H. Lawson, of Danville, Va. and Boyd B. Lawson, of Greenville, S.C.
