John F. Hatton, aged 72, died yesterday morning at 9:30 o’clock, at a
 local 
hospital. He was a native of
 Ireland, but had been a well known resident of 
Norfolk for 50 years. He
 was an employee of the city for a
 number of
years. 
Besides his wife, 
Mrs. Mary Tynan Hatton, he is survived by one daughter,
Miss 
Katherine Hatton; two sons, James M., and
 John F. Hatton, Jr.; three grand-
children, all of Norfolk; three sisters, 
Misses Elizabeth and Bridget
Hatton,
 of 
Norfolk, and Miss Mary Hatton, of 
Ireland, and one brother, James Hatton,
also of 
Ireland. The body will be 
taken from the residence of the son,
 James
M. Hatton, 
111 East Twenty-sixth street, to St. Mary’s Catholic 
Church for funeral
services 
tomorrow 
morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will 
be in St. Mary’s
Cemetery.
