Norfolk Journal and Guide, Oct. 3, 1953

The funeral of John Hawkins, 140 Colley avenue, was held Sunday, Sept. 27, at
Jerusalem Baptist Church with the pastor officiating.  Mr. Hawkins died at a
local hospital.  He is survived by two sisters;  and one brother.  Interment was
at Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral Directors in charge.
