Norfolk Journal and Guide,Saturday,Apr 3,1943
Funeral services for Washington L. Hawkins, 70, 1035 Wilmington street, who died
in the National Soldiers Home at Hampton, March 21, were  held at Union
Christian Church, March 25.  The Rev. J. H. Mann officiated.  Mr. Hawkins was a
Spanish American war veteran.  Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Hosea Hawkins. 
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
