Mr. George Hawkins died at his late home, 631 Fox Lane, Thursday, February 24. 
Funeral service was held at Bank Street Baptist Church, of which he was a member 
the following Sunday, with the pastor, Rev. G. W. Watkins officiating. A solo was 
rendered by Willie Baker. The deceased is survived by a wife, Mrs. Maria Hawkins, 
three daughters, Mrs. Rosa Carter, Luvenia Jones and Miss Ida Hawkins, eleven 
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
