NORFOLK - Mrs. Ollie Hawthorne of 869 Fremont St., the wife of James L. 
Hawthorne and a native of Norfolk, died Thursday in a hospital.

She was a daughter of John E. and Mrs. Ollie Highter.

She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Ashburn of Trenton, N.J.; and 
four brothers, Alfred Highter, Alexandria Highter, Clarence Highter, and Edward 
Highter of Norfolk.

A funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in Elton Funeral Chapel by the Rev. 
Clarence N. Harold. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at 
320 W. 26th St., Apt. 1.
