Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, February 28, 1992 
Roosevelt "Rico" Hayes Sr., 41, of the 2700 block of Chesterfield Blvd., 
died Feb. 21, 1992. 
Mr. Hayes was born in Norfolk. He had been employed with Holsum Bakery and 
had also been in the merchant marine. He was a member of Discipleship 
Baptist Church, Chesapeake. 
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Hayes; two sons, Roosevelt Hayes Jr. of 
Portsmouth and Antonio Hayes of Virginia Beach; his father, Samuel Hayes of 
Virginia Beach; two sisters, Betty Hayes of Georgia and Shirley A. Hayes of 
Virginia Beach; and a brother, Kidfield Hayes of Norfolk. 
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in Discipleship Baptist 
Church by the Rev. A.E. Moses. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. E.A. 
Hughes Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
