Norfolk - Mrs. Mary Jane Hayes, 50, of 1862 Lovitt avenue, died Saturday, Nov. 
22 in her home.

A native of Norfolk, she was the wife of Hazel Anthony Hayes.  She was a member 
of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Besides her husband, survivors include three daughters, Miss Jo Elizabeth Hayes 
of Norfolk, Mrs. Barbara A. Burwell of Chesapeake, and Mrs. Mary Jane Jones of 
Colorado Springs, CO;  two sons, Charles Fleetwood Hayes of Norfolk and Hazel 
Anthony Hayes Jr. of Ft. Bragg;  two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Moore of Norfolk and 
Mrs. Hazel Williams of the Bronx, NY;  two rothers, Josephus Stone Jr. and 
Walter Stone, both of New York;  and six grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, Nov. 26 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with 
a Mass of Resurrection of the Dead, by the Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Quinlan.
