Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, September 23, 1994 
Paula Denise Hayes, 29, of the 9600 block of 7th Bay St., died Tuesday, Sept.
20, 1994.

She was born in Norfolk and was the daughter of Annie Pearl Hayes of Norfolk and
the late Rufus B. Hayes Sr. She was a clerk/cashier at Red Ball Grocery and was
formerly employed with Farm Fresh as a cashier.

Survivors include two daughters, LaShawna Hayes and Camie Dixon, and a son,
LaShawn Hayes, all of the home; eight sisters; and six brothers. She was
predeceased by her oldest brother, Rufus B. Hayes Jr.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Christ Cathedral COGIC, 301 W.
32nd St., by Elder Tony McNair. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing
will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Riddick Funeral Service. The family will be at
the home of her mother, 1517 Cary Ave., Norfolk.
