C. J. HAYES, FORMER COUNTY CONSTABLE, DEAD
Charles James Hayes, aged 45, died
 suddenly yesterday morning at 6:15

o’clock at 
his residence, 2920 Cottage 
Toll road. He was a native of Norfolk and had a
host 
of friends here.
 He was Inspector in the Norfolk City 
Street
Department at the 
time of his 
death and formerly had been constable and supervisor in
Norfolk
 
County. He was the son of the late
 Charles and Mary Hayes.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Adelaide Burr Hayes; a son, Charles
D. Hayes, and a brother, John F. Hayes. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of 
Eagles.
Funeral services will be held at the residence at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
