Norfolk - Mrs. Evelyn Hayes of 2924 Liberia Drive died Saturday, May 21, in her 
home.

A native of Norfolk, she was the widow of Samuel Hayes.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss Betty S. Hayes and Miss Shirley Hayes, 
both of Norfolk; two sons, Kitfield Hayes of Troutville, VA, and Roosevelt Hayes 
of Wilmington, NC; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Wooted, and Mrs. Dorothy Nash, both of 
Norfolk; a brother, William Ruffin of Norfolk; and three grandchildren.

Hale Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
