Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, May 12, 1999 
Alexander Hayes of the 2700 block of Pope Ave. and a native of Burglow, N.C.,
died May 10, 1999.

Survivors include his daughter, Vivian F. Cooper of Norfolk; five grandchildren;
eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at New Union Chapel A.M.E. Church, Norfolk,
by the Rev. Clifton R. Wilson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk.
Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
