               J. F. Hayes Dies: Employe of City For Many Years

John Francis Hayes, aged 62, assistant superintendent of the City Street 
Cleaning Department, died at his home, 2817 Villa Circle, last night at 10:15 
o'clock. Son of the late Charles J. and Mary Connolly Hayes, he was a native of 
New York City and a well known resident of Norfolk for the past 60 years.
He was a former constable in Norfolk County for many years. Besides his wife, 
Mrs. Carrie Holloway Hayes, he is survived by several cousins, of New York City. 
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

HAYES, JOHN FRANCIS - At the residence, No. 2817 Villa Circle, Saturday, June 
9th, 1934, at 10:15 o'clock p.m., JOHN FRANCIS, husband of Carrie Holloway Hayes 
and son of the late Charles J. and Mary Connolly Hayes, in the 63d year of his 
age.
Funeral services at the above residence TUESDAY AFTERNOON at 2 o'clock. Friends 
of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.
