Norfolk Virginian  December 27, 1891

Mrs. Mary F. Haynes died at 8:30 o'clock yesterday morning at her home, 
Fielding, Norfolk County. She was the consort of the late Wm. H. Haynes and 
leaves a number of sons and daughters in this city and section. The funeral will 
take place at 3 p.m. today from the residence.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary F. Haynes took place at 3 p.m. Sunday from her late 
residence, Fielding, Norfolk County, and was largely attended. The service was 
conducted by Rev. J.P. Barrett, D.D., of the Providence Christian Church, 
Norfolk County, assisted by Rev. C.J. Jones, D.D., of the Union Christian 
Chapel, Norfolk. At the close of the service Professor J.F. Wilkins sang as a 
solo "Asleep in Jesus." The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. The following 
were the pallbearers: Messrs. George W. Dey, Arthur Newton, L. Royster, A.M. 
Eley, Henry Williamson, John Whitehurst, J.B. Ferratt and C.A. Davis.
