NORFOLK - Mrs. Helen Kidd Healey, 63, the wife of Robert L. Healey and a daughter 
of the late Robert A. and Mrs. Cornelia McCardy Kidd, died in a hospital Friday at 
9:45 p.m.
A native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, she lived at 115 E. 41st St. She was a 
member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was employed as a matron at the Norfolk 
City Jail several years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Ashby E. Edwards Jr., of Norfolk; 
three sisters, Mrs. H. C. Roberson, Mrs. O. B. Gaskins, and Mrs. Mary Stripling of 
Norfolk; two brothers, R. A. Kidd and B. M. Kidd of Norfolk; and four 
grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday at St Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. 
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the Hollomon-
Brown Funeral Home today at 7:30 p.m. The family will be at 3753 Larkin St.
