Financially embarrassed beyond his power to pay, rather than face disgrace, having feared arrest, together with an aggravated attack of the grip, caused C. E. Heath, a young electrician, to take his life. The facts of the case came to light yesterday and there is a sad feature to it. The bride of a year and a half, the wife of the suicide, was left penniless with her three weeks' old infant and she has been compelled to return to the parental roof at West Norfolk. The city will have to bury the body of Heath. So said Coroner Kight yesterday. Dr. Kight stated that it was a clear case of suicide and he deemed an inquest unnecessary. Heath swallowed the fatal dose of laudanum at the boardinghouse of a Mrs. Staples, 443 Bute street.
