Norfolk Journal and Guide,Dec 8,1951 
The funeral of Mrs. Rosa Hedgespeth was held at the First Baptist Church,
Sunday, Dec. 2,where she was a member for over 40 years. The Rev. J. C. Diamond
officiated. There was a solo by Mrs. Catherine Young. Condolences were read by
Mrs. Margaret Harris. The deceased is survived by a husband, Lety Hedgespeth; two
sisters, Mrs. Cora Pitt, and Mrs. Ruth Forbes; one aunt, Mrs. Henrietta Berry;
and other relatives and friends.

She held membership in the Diamond Jubilee Chorus, Busy Bee Club, and the
Missionary Society of the church. She also held membership in the Beulah Temple
Lodge No. 4 and Order of the Eastern Star. Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery
with Gordon’s Funeral Home in charge.
