Mrs. Ellen May Heffron, wife of Dennis J. Heffron, died at her home, 928 Twenty-
eighth street, at 3 o’clock yesterday morning from a stroke of paralysis. She was 
stricken suddenly at 7 o’clock Friday evening and never recovered. Up to that time 
she apparently had been in the best of health and her death came as a great shock 
to her friends.
Mrs. Heffron, who was 58 years old, was born in County Galway, Ireland, but came 
to the United States with her parents when a child. She had lived here for the 
past eight years and was well known and highly esteemed by her many friends. 
Besides her husband, three children survive her as follows: Mrs. M. F. Hutchinson, 
Mr. M. Heffron, of this city, and Mrs. Guard of Niagara Falls. Four grandchildren 
also survive her.
The funeral will be held at the St. Vincent’s Catholic church, with rectory mass 
Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock and will be conducted by Rev. Father Frioli. 
Interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery at Norfolk. The body will be sent 
to Norfolk on the steamer Virginia at 10:30 o’clock Tuesday morning.
