NORFOLK - Helen Zakowski Helmick, 66, of the 6400 block of Devonshire Road, died 
Dec. 9, 1986, in a hospital.
Mrs. Helmick, a Philadelphia native, was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church 
and the Bowlarama Senior Citizens Club. She was a former volunteer at DePaul 
Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Howard G. Helmick; two daughters, Sandra Lowry and 
Deborah Helmick, both of Norfolk; and two grandchildren.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Pius X 
Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The family will 
be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
