Virginian-Pilot October 15, 1978
JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla.- Mrs. Grace May Helvin, 80, of 548 Barbara Lane, a native 
and former resident of Norfolk, died Wednesday. She was the widow of Thomas K. 
Helvin.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Poole of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel 
Arnold of Jacksonville Beach and Mrs. Catherine Allen of Great Falls, Va.; a 
brother, Robert Hogshire of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and several grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, with Smith & 
Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, in charge. The family will be at the 
funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 8:30.

Additional Comments:
While her tombstone gives her date of death as October 12, it was October 11 per 
the Florida Death Index.
