The many friends in this city of Mrs. Sarah L. Henderson were pained yesterday to learn of her death, which occurred the afternoon previous, after a long illness. Mrs. Henderson was the widow of the late Captain James L. Henderson, and was a Miss Williamson, daughter of the late Colonel Harry Williamson, of the Sixth Virginia Regiment. At the time of her death, she was in the 71st year of her age, and much admired by a large circle of friends who were acquainted with her many beautiful traits of character and charitable disposition. Her funeral will take place this afternoon at 4 o'clock, from the residence of her son, Mr. Thom W. Henderson, No. 212 Freemason street.
