Died, yesterday, in the 49th year of his age, Capt. James Henderson, a native 
of Ireland, but for more than thirty years a resident of this city, in which he 
has left a sorrowing wife and six children. For many years of his life Capt.
Henderson was engaged in the occupation of a Steamboat Commander

Chesapeake, James River and other lines, in which capacity his gentlemanly d
deportment, entertaining manners and polite attention to his passengers made h
him a universal favorite and caused him to be extensively known and remembered. H
He possessed all the warm and generous impulses of his countrymen, and many e
excellent traits of character.
His funeral will take place this afternoon from his residence on Holt Street, a 
4 o'clock.
