Thomas F. Carroll, D.D., pastor of Epworth Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery. A native of Berkley, Hendren was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, son of the late Francis N. and Mrs. Mary J. Way Hendren. He began his career with the Seaboard Air Line Railway in 1915 and was promoted to the position of commerce agent in 1926. He was a member of Epworth Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Ashlin Hendren; one brother, Edward L. Hendren, of New Orleans and a sister, Mrs. Mattie H. Durand, of Washington.
