The many friends of Miss Eugene Boyd Hendren will regret to learn of her u untimely death, which occurred at her residence, corner of Bute and Duke S Streets, yesterday morning at 4:15 o'clock. Miss Hendren had been ill for s several months, constantly confined to her bed, and though an invalid she e enjoyed life and was much loved by a large circle of friends. It will be remembered that recently she was the winner of two prizes offered by the New York Herald for art designs. She was a painter of exquisite taste and had she lived would have attained great distinction. She was a regular attendant, previous to her being taken ill, upon the services of St. Luke's P. E. Church. In accordance with Miss Hendren's oft-expressed wish, her funeral will be private, and will take place Saturday morning from the residence at 10 o'clock.
