She was a daughter of Richard A. and Mrs. Margaret Barnes Roach. She was one of the oldest members of Memorial Methodist Church and a member of its Women's Society of Christian Service. She also was a member of Norfolk City Union of King's Daughters and Norfolk College Alumnae. Surviving are one son, W. Harry Hendren, five grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. The body was taken to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home. The family has suggested that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to a favorite charity.
