The Virginian Pilot (Norfolk) Wednesday May 28, 1947
Mrs. Margaret Roberts Hendy, 81, widow of Patrick Hendy and daughter of the 
late Roy. W. and Mrs. Jane Ney Roberts, died at a local hospital yesterday at 
6:15 p.m.  A native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, she resided at West 
Forty eighth Street.
She is survived by one son, Roy P. Hendy; two grandchildren, Martha Denver and 
Patricia Ney Hendy; a sister, Miss Lucy Barry Roberts, all of Norfolk, and a 
number of nieces and nephews.
The body will be taken from the H,.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church for services Thursday at 10 a.m.  Interment will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.  Rosary services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments tonight at 7:30 o'clock.
