WILLIAM J. HENLEY
William J. Henley died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M. E. Capps, 1117 
Highland avenue, Thursday afternoon after an illness of two years, in the 
seventy-eighth year of his age. He was born in Princess Anne county, but had 
been a resident of Norfolk thirty-two years, and was well-known and highly 
esteemed. He is survived
by a widow, two daughters, Mrs. M. E. Capps, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Mary Reid, of 
Princess Anne county, also a son, William H. Henley, of Princess Anne.
The funeral will be held at the residence of his daughter at 1 o'clock this 
afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. F. G. Davis, of Trinity M. E. church. 
Burial in Elmwood cemetery.
