Norfolk Virginian Pilot Thursday February 7, 1946
Robert Leonard Henley, 73, husband of Ella Hanawell Henley, died at a local 
hospital yesterday at 10:30 a.m.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, George L. Henley, two 
stepdaughters, Mrs. William Harrison and Mrs. Edna M. Evans; two stepsons, 
H.E. Allen and a grandson, Robert Henley, all of Norfolk.
Mr. Henley was a native of Princess Anne County and had been a resident of 
Norfolk for 45 years. He was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle, Naval Lodge 
No. 100, A.F. & A.M. and an honorary life member of Old Dominion Chapter No. 
43, Telephone Pioneers of America. He was in the employ of the Chesapeake 
and Potomac Telephone Company for 30 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
tomorrow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
