Virginian-Pilot  November 27, 1907
Mrs. Hannah Hennelly, relict of the late W. P. Hennelly, passed away at her home, 
No. 1 Virginia street, at 5:12 o’clock a.m. yesterday, after a lingering illness, 
in the 73d year of her age. The deceased was born in Ireland, but had been for 
fifty years a resident of Norfolk. She was the mother of Joseph J. Hennelly, who 
died recently, and was ill at the time of his passing away. She was a woman of 
many endearing traits of character and had a wide circle of friends who will learn 
with sorrow of her demise. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-W. T., 
S. V. and John E. Hennelly, Miss Mary G. and Miss Catherine A. Hennelly. The 
funeral will be solemnized from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, of which she was for 
many years a member, Thursday morning at 10 o’clock.
