A native of Norfolk, Mrs. Henry was the daughter of Edmund Sumter Ruffin and Cordelia Byrd Ruffin. She was the widow of retired Navy captain Dr. Reginald Buchanan Henry. She was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church and a former member of the Altar Guild. She was a member of Colonial Dames of America of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Loving Circle of The King's Daughters. She attended Sweet Briar College. Survivors included a daughter, Mrs. George H. Sargeant and a son, Dr. Reginald B. Henry Jr., both of Norfolk; a sister, Cordelia Ruffin Austin of Charlottesville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church by the Rev. James W.H. Sell. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, handled arrangements. Memorial donations was made to the church and to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
