HERBERT DIES IN PENSACOLA, ACCIDENT VICTIM Barry M. Herbert, native and practically a lifelong resident of this city, died yesterday morning at 8:30 o'clock in a hospital at Pensacola, Fla., where he had been receiving treatment. He received internal injuries in an automobile wreck Easter Monday near Pensacola and his death was due to that cause. Mr. Herbert was a son of Mrs. Mary Virginia Herbert and the late Melnot Herbert. He had been in Florida about four years. Surviving him are his wife, nee Miss Fannie Morrison, daughter of John R. Morrison, of Rosemont, Norfolk County; three children, one brother, B.M. Herbert of Suffolk; two sisters, Mrs. R.E. Davie and Mrs. J.T. Scarborough, of Norfolk. He was a member of Rosemont Christian Church. The body will be brought here for funeral and burial Saturday morning, but funeral arrangements had not been completed last night. ******************************************************************** Barry McAlpine Herbert - Funeral services for Mr. Herbert, who died in Pensacola, Fla., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident, were conducted at the funeral home of E. Lee Cox, 124 East Berkley Avenue, yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev. J.F. Morgan, pastor of Rosemont Christian Church; the Rev. Willis Thompson, pastor of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. Beecher L. Rhodes, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, officiated. The attendance was large and there was a profusion of flowers. Pallbearers were Dr. J.A. Proctor, Charles Davie, H.E. Brownley, H.R. Morrison, C.H. Sexton, J.R. Morrison, Jr., P.M. Pritchard and Moody Johnson. Burial was in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
