Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 9, 1953

Mrs. Agnes Anne O'Connor Hernon, 89, widow of Peter F. Hernon and daughter of 
Martin and Mrs. Margaret Hernon O'Connor, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died 
yesterday at 2 a.m. at the residence, 2611 Villa Circle. She was a member of St. 
Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Miss Marie Catharine Hernon, of Norfolk; two sons, 
Peter J. Hernon, of Norfolk and Joseph M. Hernon, of Washington; two 
grandchildren, Joseph M. Hernon, Jr. and Donald M. Hernon, of Washington and one 
sister, Mrs. T.J. Shannon, of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral apartments 
tonight at 7:30.

Wednesday, July 8th, 1953, at 2 a.m., AGNES ANNE O'CONNOR HERNON, widow of Peter 
F. Hernon, and daughter of the late Martin and Margaret Hernon O'Connor, in the 
90th year of her age.  Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to St. Mary's Catholic Church for services 
FRIDAY MORNING at 10 o'clock.  Friends of the family are invited to attend.  
Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.  Kindly omit flowers.
