Mrs. Clara Haskins Herring, daughter of the late Leslie and Mrs. Virginia 
Haskins, died November 10 after a brief illness.

Mrs. Herring,a former resident of this city, was called here on account of 
the death of a relative and was on her way back to her home in Detroit, when 
she suffered a stroke and died suddenly.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Hood’s Chapel AMEZ Church with the 
pastor, the Rev. J. C. Pate officiating. A solo was rendered by Mrs. Ethel 
Beaman. Condolences were read by Miss Ernestine Corprew.

Mrs. Herring is survived by her husband, Columbus Herring, sister, brother 
and grandmother. Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
