George Herriott, 69, of 700 Wide street, was given final rites Sunday at First 
Calvary Baptist Church, where he was a member and usher.  Mr. Herriott, a native 
of Sumter, SC, died Nov. 23 in a Norfolk hospital.

The Rev. C. E. Griffin officiated at the service.  Burial was in Mt. Olive 
Cemetery with Jones Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Herriott is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Dickerson of Brooklyn;   two 
brothers, a sister and eight grandchildren.
